Fans have reacted on social media after it was revealed Lewis Hamilton would be the cover star for the ‘Iconic Edition’ of the new F1 25 game. 

Hamilton is arguably the greatest driver of all time after winning seven world championships – level with Michael Schumacher.

Despite entering the sport in 2007, he has never been the sole driver on the front of a Formula One game until now.

That has changed with F1 25, where the British superstar is on the front cover in the colours of his new team Ferrari.

Hamilton shared the front cover of the new game on his social media with the caption: “Iconic”.

His post included a link to the official reveal trailer of the new game on YouTube. However, the video won’t go live until 4pm UK time on March 26.

Commenting on the front cover as per ESPN, he said: “Moving to Scuderia Ferrari HP is such an exciting new chapter of my career, and it feels incredible to have this moment represented on the EA Sports F1 25 Iconic Edition cover.

“I’m so energised and hungry for this next part of my Formula One story and love that racing fans and players get to experience that with me through the game.”

Fans React To Lewis Hamilton Cover On F1 25

Fans are excited over the new F1 25 game after seeing the front cover of Lewis Hamilton in his Ferrari suit.

YouTuber Aarav wrote: “This cover for the F1 25 new ‘Iconic Edition’ is absolute fire. But let’s just see if the game can match anywhere near, I’m going into this year’s game cycle incredibly skeptical.”

Another F1 fan commented: “LEWIS, YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!  Just saw the EASPORTSF1 F1 25 cover, and it’s straight-up WOW!  You look like a true legend in that Ferrari red – the face of iconic!  So proud of you, champ! Let’s gooo!”

A third fan of the F1 game responded: “Wow that is an incredible cover in fairness. Now please let the game actually be good.”

Responding to a fan who questioned the choice of Hamilton being on the front cover, another fan said: “He’s a 7-time champion (should be 8) that just moved to the most iconic F1 team EVER. That’s why! Lewis Hamilton is ICONIC.”

When Is F1 25 Being Released?

A date for F1 25 has not yet been announced but could be made on the day of the reveal trailer on March 26.

However, as per Indy500.com, there has been speculation that the game could be released on May 30.
