The Miami International Autodrome – A Work of Art
The Miami International Autodrome, which sits inside the Hard Rock Stadium complex in Miami Gardens, is one of the most unique circuits on the F1 calendar. It is a temporary circuit but exudes the feel of a permanent one. Needless to say, conjuring this uniqueness was not easy. According to F1.com, the developers tried out as many as 36 different layouts before settling on the version we see today.
When Was the First Miami GP?
The inaugural Miami Grand Prix took place in 2022, giving the US its second F1 race, after Austin. The States, of course, now has three F1 races, with Las Vegas GP ing the ranks a couple of years back.

Max Verstappen won the Miami GP in 2022, completing the race in 1:34:24.258.
Miami Grand Prix Key Details: Track Layout, Race Length & Fastest Lap

The Miami Autodrome is a 5.412 km track, featuring 19 corners, 3 straights, and 3 DRS Zones. There are plenty of elevation changes, as 20 of the best drivers zip through under multiple flyovers and an exit ramp. Arguably, the best overtaking zone is across the Turn 14-15 chicane, where the boldest drivers can pull one over their peers.

Since it is a Sprint weekend, where drivers will have just one practice session instead of the usual three, Pirelli have allotted 12 tyres to each driver instead of 13. Each pilot will have two sets of hard tyres, four mediums, and six sets of soft tyres. If it rains in Miami, drivers will have the option to pick from six green-walled sets of intermediates and three blue-walled full wet tyres.
