Everton Relegation Odds 2025: Toffees Fifth Favourites To Be Relegated

Over the last three seasons the Everton relegation odds have got plenty of attention – with the Toffees finishing 15th, 17th and 16th – and more of the same looks on the cards after another below-par start to their 2024/25 campaign.

As a result the pressure is also growing on Sean Dyche, with another market – the the best football betting sites in the UK – also getting plenty of attention as football fans speculate on who might take over at Goodison Park.

Note: Odds are subject to change

As you can see from the Everton relegation odds above, the Toffees are fifth favourites to face the Premier League drop.

With only Southampton, who look doomed, Leicester, Ipswich and Wolves shorter than Everton in this ‘to be relegated’ market.

When Did Everton Last Get Relegated?

Everton are one of the longest-serving English top-flight football teams.

Yes, this record has come close to being ripped up in the last three seasons. Having finished just outside the relegation places in every season since 2021/22.

But the bad news for the Toffees is that, based on the first half of the 2024/25 season, it looks like Everton are once again going to find themselves in a relegation scrap over the next four months.

Everton were last relegated in the 1950-51 season.

However, they bounced back a few years later in 1953-54 when finishing runners-up in the old Second Division.

They’ve stayed in the English top-flight ever since. With only Arsenal (1919-20) having a longer top-flight status.

Meaning Everton have been a stalwart of the England top-tier longer than the likes of Liverpool (1962-63), Manchester United (1975-76), Chelsea (1989-90) and Tottenham (1978-79)

The current 2024/25 campaign is Everton’s 71st in the English top-flight and since the start of the Premier League in 1992 have been involved in each season.

2021/22 16th 39

How Many Times Have Everton Been Relegated In Total?

As we now know, Everton were last relegated in 1951, but prior to that the Toffees have only been relegated once more.

Meaning Everton have only been relegated twice in their history.

This other relegation came in the 1929-30 season and they’ve also never played in a league lower than the second division since the club were formed in 1887.

During this time Everton have only spent four seasons in the second tier of English football.

Therefore, plying their trade at the top level in all of the others
