Sweden Are The Eurovision 2025 Favourites

Heading into Eurovision 2025, the country the best betting sites in the UK are fearing the most is SWEDEN – making them the red-hot favourites to win the competition for a record-breaking eighth time.

As it stands Sweden are tied with Ireland on seven Eurovision Song Contest wins – so if they can justify favouritism in 2025 will be the winning-most country on their own.

It was ABBA back in 1974 with “Waterloo” that got the Sweden Eurovision bandwagon rolling – and since then they’ve added six more, with the most recent only a few years go in 2023 when Loreen sang “Tattoo”. She also won Eurovision for Sweden in 2012.

This year Sweden will be represented by band KAJ, who will perform their song “Bara bada bastu” – watch/listen below.

Austria, who won in 2014, and five-time winners are next best in the Eurovision betting odds market 2025.

Who Is Representing the UK at Eurovision 2025? 🇬🇧

A band called Monday will represent the UK at Eurovision 2025.

They are a female trio made up of Charlotte Steele, Lauren Byrne and Holly-Anne Hull.

It was announced in March they would lead the UK charge, who have won Eurovision five times in the past – but not since 1997.

Their song is called What The Hell Just Happened?”

Seven-Time Winners Ireland Fail To Qualify For Eurovision 2025 (again)

Ireland, who have won Eurovision the t-most times (with Sweden) were the shock country NOT to make it to the finals in 2025.

The Emerald Isle act missed out at the semi-final stages – with their act Emmy Kristiansen, who is a Norwegian singer, failing to wow the judges with her song ‘Laika Party’.

This followed 2024 when Ireland also didn’t make the finals.

The last win for Ireland came in 1996 when Eimear Quinn’s The Voice landed their seventh Eurovision title.

Which Country Won Eurovision Last Year (2024)?

Switzerland won Eurovision in 2024 when Nemo’s song “The Code” got the most points.

It was the third time Switzerland have scooped the prize – after wins in 1956 and 1988.

They will be looking to become the first ‘back-to-back’ Eurovision since Ireland won three on the bounce between 1992 and 1994.

This year Switzerland will be represented by Zoë Më with the song “Voyage”.
