The latest Erling Haaland injury update has revealed that the Man City star should be fit to face Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
Haaland appeared to jar his knee in the build up to James McAtee’s goal in the 4-0 Premier League win over Newcastle on Saturday. The Norwegian flicked the ball on from a corner which allowed the youngster to score late on.
The Etihad faithful held their breath when Haaland clutched at the injured area just after the restart. He was eventually subbed for Matheus Nunes as the crowd endured flashbacks to Rodri’s ACL season-ender.

Pep Guardiola Provides Positive Erling Haaland Injury Update
After the 4-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday, some Man City fans might have been fearing the worst. However, Pep Guardiola gave a positive Erling Haaland injury update.
“When he was down everyone was scared,” Guardiola explained to the media after the game. The City manager went on to say: “He got up, walked, smiling like always. I didn’t speak to him, but the doctors didn’t come with bad news. Hopefully (he will be fine for Real Madrid).”
Haaland was able to move freely after the full-time whistle. He was seen smiling, applauding the crowd and shaking hands with the match officials. All this after being given the armband for the first time in City colours.
Those scenes alongside Guardiola’s words will provide confidence with everyone associated with the club that Haaland will start at the Bernabeu.
