The latest England squad has seen first-time call ups for uncapped defensive duo Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Lewis Hall.

England Squad Announced For November’s UEFA Nations League Fixtures

Interim boss Lee Carsley has included the Southampton and Newcastle players for the UEFA Nations League fixtures against Greece and Ireland.

The pair could make their senior international debuts on November 14 as the Three Lions look to avenge their shock 2-1 defeat to the Greeks last month.

John Stones is perhaps the most notable absentee alongside Harry Maguire. Aston Villa starlet Morgan Rogers also misses out but Jack Grealish makes the England squad. Despite missing the last five games for Manchester City.

Kobbie Mainoo is another notable exclusion as he recovers from injury. It means that Manchester United have zero representatives for the second successive squad.

Despite being a doubt for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal, Cole Palmer also makes the 26-man squad. Carsley has also recalled Morgan Gibbs-White and Curtis Jones. Lille star Angel Gomes keeps his place as well.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis And Lewis Hall Included In England Squad

Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis will get the chance to work with boss Lee Carsley at senior level after impressing in the Premier League this season.

The Manchester City academy product actually served as captain under Carsley for the U21 side. His promotion will be intriguing ahead of the crunch Nations League fixtures.

From Lewis Hall’s perspective, his inclusion could resolve England’s problems on the left side of defence. Especially with Luke Shaw‘s continued absence via injury.

The Newcastle man has been hugely impressive this season. He was vital in shackling Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka in the Magpies recent 1-0 victory at St James’ Park.

Both players will be hoping to leave a positive impression if given the chance. Especially with new boss Thomas Tuchel set to take over in the new year.

From January 1, Tuchel will aim to become the first manager to lead the Three Lions to silverwear in 60 years at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. At the time of writing, the best football betting sites price Tuchel’s side as 7/1 t favourites.
