Newcastle head to the capital to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, and we’ve got the latest team news and confirmed lineups, as well as a score prediction alongside our match preview.

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle Preview

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle go head-to-head with relegation-threatened Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, where the Magpies will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to West Ham last time out.

Prior to the loss on Monday evening, Newcastle had won three consecutive matches across all competitions, including back-to-back victories over high-flyers Arsenal and Nottingham Forest in the league.

Their topsy-turvy form this term sees them occupy 10th place heading into Gameweek 13, having ed 18 points after 12 matches, which puts them just four points adrift of Brighton, Arsenal and Chelsea in the top five.

Palace, meanwhile, find themselves down in a lowly 19th place prior to the weekend’s action. They have managed just eight points so far this term, winning just one league game across their opening 12.

That win came in the form of a 1-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park towards the end of last month, and they have since drawn two and lost one in the top-flight, including a 2-2 draw away at Aston Villa last time out.

Oliver Glasner’s side led on two occasions in that one, first taking the lead through Ismaila Sarr four minutes in before Justin Devenny netted his first Premier League goal on the stroke of half-time to restore the lead after Ollie Watkins’ leveller. A Ross Barkley header on the 77 minute mark meant that the spoils were shared, however.

Saturday’s clash will be the first time that the pair have met since April, where the Eagles claimed a 2-0 victory at home last season. Newcastle were triumphant in the reverse fixture, claiming a comfortable 4-0 win at St. James’ Park.

Crystal Palace Team News

Glasner will have to make do without several crucial first-team stars for the Magpies’ visit, with all of Matheus Franca (groin), Chadi Riad (knee), Adam Wharton (groin) and Eddie Nketiah (hamstring) ruled out through injury, while Eberechi Eze returns from a thigh issue.

Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada is also ruled out, having been served a three-match ban for his red card against Fulham prior to the international window, and Rob Holding remains frozen out of the squad.

Newcastle Team News

As for the visitors, they remain without long-term absentees Jamaal Lascelles (knee) and Sven Botman (knee), while Emil Krafth (shoulder) has also ed them on the sidelines.

Joe Willock has overcome a calf injury and starts at Selhurst Park along with Bruno Guimaraes, who overcame a glute problem. Sandro Tonali was also given the nod by Eddie Howe to start. Dan Burn, meanwhile, makes his return after serving a one-match suspension.

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle Confirmed Lineups

Crystal Palace Confirmed Lineup:

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle Prediction

The UK’s best football betting sites are narrowly favouring the visitors to prevail in South London on Saturday, and we agree, as we’re backing the Magpies to edge out the hosts in a tightly contested affair.

Newcastle’s away form has been rather poor this season, but against a Crystal Palace side that have managed just one win this season and are without countless first-team stars, we expect the Tyneside club to take full advantage.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Newcastle
