Lethargic Man City drop points again in 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace

Man City’s dismal run of form continued with a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

It’s been a five-and-a-half weeks to forget for Pep Guardiola as City were denied the win for the eighth time in their last nine games – which includes six losses.

They picked up a routine win in midweek over Nottingham Forest at the Etihad but that momentum was short-lived and City have laid another egg in the title race.

Daniel Munoz opened the scoring for Palace inside the first five minutes before Erling Haaland fired back on the half hour mark, but City failed to gain control of the game and Oliver Glasner’s side proved themselves as game opponents.

Maxence Lacroix put the south Londoners back in the lead shortly after the restart before Rico Lewis responded with a 68th minute equaliser and that was all she wrote in the capital.
