Man City’s dismal run of form continued with a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

It’s been a five-and-a-half weeks to forget for Pep Guardiola as City were denied the win for the eighth time in their last nine games – which includes six losses.

They picked up a routine win in midweek over Nottingham Forest at the Etihad but that momentum was short-lived and City have laid another egg in the title race.

According to the best football betting sites, the Sky Blues are now a 10/1 chance to win the Premier League – sitting eight points off league leaders Liverpool who have a game in hand as well.

Daniel Munoz opened the scoring for Palace inside the first five minutes before Erling Haaland fired back on the half hour mark, but City failed to gain control of the game and Oliver Glasner’s side proved themselves as game opponents.

Maxence Lacroix put the south Londoners back in the lead shortly after the restart before Rico Lewis responded with a 68th minute equaliser and that was all she wrote in the capital.

City drop 13th point away from home this season in Palace draw

Man City have dropped a massive 13 points away from home so far this season and their backline looks shaky at best, conceding seven goals in the first 15 minutes during the campaign – the most by any side in the league.

In their last nine games, the reigning champions have conceded 21 goals and retaining the title for a fifth year in a row looks an extremely tough order for Guardiola’s men.

Last month, City became the first title holders to lose five games in a row in all competitions since Chelsea in March 1956 – and this team is supposed to be considered as one of the best ever.
