Conor Bradley injury update: Liverpool defender sidelined for ‘a few weeks’

Liverpool defender Conor Bradley is set for ‘a few weeks’ on the sidelines after picking up a muscle injury according to Reds boss Arne Slot.
Bradley is widely regarded as one of the brightest young defenders in the Premier League and many Liverpool fans regard the 21-year-old as a suitable successor to Trent Alexander-Arnold in the event he departs upon his contract expiration this summer.
The Northern Ireland international has made 22 appearances this season, the majority coming off the bench but notably enjoyed a stellar performance marking Kylian Mbappe in the Champions League back in November and grabbing himself an assist in the 2-0 win.
Shortly after being introduced as a substitute in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa last week, Bradley was forced off with an injury which Slot explored in more detail during his pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday’s meeting with Newcastle.

Slot said: “He [Bradley] is out for a few weeks.
“I cannot tell exactly how many but it is clear that he went off with a muscle injury and that it is going to take a while before he is back.”

The untimely injury news arrives during a period of utmost importance for the league leaders, who extended their advantage at the top of the table to 11 points with victory against Manchester City on Sunday.
As per the best football betting sites, Liverpool are 1/14 favourites to see the campaign out as winners and lift a record-equalling 20th English crown to go level with Manchester United in the history books.
Bradley burst onto the scene in January 2024 after returning to Merseyside from a loan spell at Bolton, making his full debut in a 4-0 win over Bournemouth and assisting Diogo Jota’s second goal.
At the end of that month, he scored his first goal for the club in a 4-1 win over Chelsea and ed two assists to win Man of the Match – three days after picking up the same award following two assists in an FA Cup fourth round win over Norwich City.
Bradley won his first piece of silverware in the EFL Cup, starting in the final against Chelsea and establishing himself as a key rotation player in Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield.
