The latest Christopher Nkunku transfer news has revealed that Manchester United are plotting a surprise move for the Chelsea forward.

That is according to L’Equipe, who also suggest that the the international is seriously considering his future at Stamford Bridge.

Nkunku has found his game time extremely limited in west London since ing the Blues in the summer of 2023. This season alone, the 26-year-old has started just once in the Premier League.

Overall, he has accumulated just 154 minutes of action in England’s elite in 2024/25. Most of his exertions have been limited to the UEFA Conference League and EFL Cup.

Incoming Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim will reportedly test their league rival’s resolve once he officially takes over at Old Trafford. Visa and paperwork complications have delayed the Portuguese gaffer’s start.

Christopher Nkunku Transfer News Suggests Chelsea Exit Is Imminent

If the latest Christopher Nkunku transfer news does hold any weight, Manchester United will enhance their attacking options considerably with his addition.

Even after their 3-0 victory over Leicester on GW11, the Red Devils still need to add some much needed firepower to their ranks.

Nkunku is rumoured to be disheartened with his lack of minutes under new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca. The Italian has preferred Nicolas Jackson up top in the Premier League this season.

Amazingly, Nkunku is actually the Blues top scorer across all competitions with 10 strikes. However, he has just one of those efforts to his name in England’s elite.

With positive goalscoring numbers to his name and an apparent desire to leave the Stamford Bridge, Nkunku could genuinely get his career back on track under Ruben Amorim.

The most obvious stumbling block will be the west Londoners willingness to let Nkunku move to a direct rival. Even more so in the January transfer window.

Only time will tell if Nkunku’s potential move actually comes to fruition but it is certainly a story worth keeping an eye on. Especially over the coming weeks and festive period.
