As he prepares for the biggest fight of his life, Chris Eubank Jr faces bitter rival Conor Benn on April 26th at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The fight was originally scheduled to happen in October 2022, but over two-and-a-half years later boxing fans are finally getting to witness to Eubank Jr vs Benn fight.

The family rivalry and history runs deep, with both father’s Chris Eubank Snr and Nigel Benn having shared the ring on two occasions during the 1990s in one of Britain’s biggest ever boxing rivalries.

With the Eubank Jr vs Benn clash fast approaching, Chris Eubank Snr has finally broken his silence and spoken out on the fight between his son, Eubank Jr, and Conor Benn.

Snr has labelled the fight itself a disgrace, whilst also taking aim at his own son. Eubank had some choice words for his son, insisting that he will ‘never be in your corner’ and labelling his son ‘a disgrace’.

This comes as he discusses the fight, as well as the infamous egg slap of Benn. Eubank Snr has labelled both men a disgrace, but in particular his son. He has confirmed that he will not be in his son’s corner on April 26th at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Chris Eubank Snr: ‘I’ll Never Be In Your Corner’

Chris Eubank Snr spoke to various media outlets on Wednesday 16th April, just ten days out from his son’s fight with Conor Benn.

This is the first time Eubank has been questioned properly on the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn clash and first time he as commented on the egg slapping incident.

One of Eubank’s interview was with Seconds Out, where he labelled both Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn ‘a disgrace’. Not only that, but the former world super-middleweight champion has vowed to ‘never be in your corner’ to his son Chris Eubank Jr.

“You must be mad. I would never be in your corner. You’re a disgrace.

“You’re smashing an egg in someone’s face and then you’re trying to justify it? There’s no justification for that. There is nothing noble about that,” said Chris Eubank Snr with some strong words for his eldest son.

It’s fair to say that Eubank will most definitely not be in his son’s corner for his fight with Conor Benn on April 26th. Whether or not he will in the future remains to be seen, but is somewhat doubtful.
