What Weight is Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn Being Fought at?

Despite plenty of controversy surrounding the initial weigh-in during fight week, fans may be wondering — what weight is Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn being fought at?
Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn Weight
More than 30 years after a fierce multi-fight rivalry between their fathers, Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn step into the ring for a hotly-anticipated grudge match.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium plays host to the bout on Saturday night, but the weeks leading up to the event have been littered with media stunts and trash talk, as is to be expected.
After a war of words stretching back years, a pre-match face-off at the end of February reached boiling point after Eubank Jr slapped Benn with an egg, prompting a mass brawl involving fathers, promoters and everyone in between.
With the pre-match tempers positively scorching, and hype for one of British boxing’s biggest nights in recent memory suitably sky-high, it has also not been without friction.
Conor Benn is a natural welterweight, and has been forced to tack on considerable mass in order to jump two weight divisions for this contest, which is being fought at middleweight.
Eubank Jr naturally fits into that exact weight class — and has even fought at super-middleweight — although the 35-year-old clocked in at just 0.05lb over the 160lbs limit in a behind-closed-doors weigh-in.
As a result, he was fined £375,000 for missing weight for Saturday’s fight.
Chris Eubank Sr skipped the official ceremonial weigh-in, due to objections about the disparity in weight.
However, the fight contract includes a rehydration clause, meaning neither fighter can add more than 10lb in weight between Friday and Saturday’s weigh-in.

Luckily for Eubank, the final weigh-in on Saturday morning saw ‘Next Gen’ make target weight at 169.4lbs, avoiding another hefty fine in the process.
Benn weighed 165lbs — well within the 170lbs ceiling.
