Blues Batter Noah At Stamford Bridge

Looking to bounce back after going two games without a win across all competitions, Chelsea welcomed Armenian Premier League side Noah to Stamford Bridge in the Conference League on Thursday evening.

Clear favourites with the UK’s best football betting sites, even without the likes of Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Reece James, Nicolas Jackson, Pedro Neto and many more, the Blues raced to a 3-0 lead within the first 20 minutes.

Tosin Adarabioyo headed home the opener, with Marc Guiu and Axel Disasi finding the second and third, before Joao Felix extended the hosts’ lead to 4-0 on the 21-minute mark.

Mykhailo Mudryk got in on the act in the 39th minute, curling home beautifully from the edge of the area into the top right corner, with Felix netting his second of the evening two minutes later to make it 6-0 before half-time.

Luckily for the visitors, Chelsea‘s onslaught somewhat died down in the second period, as they only managed to add a further two goals, with both coming courtesy of Christopher Nkunku.

Victory maintains Enzo Maresca’s side’s place at the summit of the table in Europe’s third-tier club competition, while the Blues are now one of six sides remaining to boast a 100% win record after the opening three matches.

Up next for the West Londoners is a return to Premier League action on Sunday as they take on city rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, followed by a trip to Leicester after the international window. They return to the Conference League in three weeks time to take on Bundesliga outfit Heidenheim at the Voith-Arena.

Noah, meanwhile, have three Armenian top-flight fixtures against Alashkert, Ararat and Pyunik up next before welcoming Icelandic side Vikingur to the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium at the end of the month.
