So, we now know after winning the Europa League Final, Tottenham will also have the added prize of a lucrative UCL place for next season – but just what is the Champions League prize money breakdown and what can Spurs expect to bank for the 2025/26 campaign in Europe’s prestige football competition?

Champions League Prize Money 2026: Tottenham Will Get £15.7m Just For Turning Up

You can see the full 2025/26 Champions League prize money breakdown for what each side – including Tottenham – can expect to get during the tournament.

This cash injection starts with a staggering £15.7m just for qualifying – which, of course, they secured by beating fellow Premier League side Manchester United in the 2025 Europa League Final.

For winning this, Spurs have also set up a Europa League Tottenham trophy parade, their attention will turn to the 2025/26 Champions League.

In additions to the £15.7m for just turning up – the good news for Spurs fans and their owner Daniel Levy is there is bucket loads more cash to hoover up over the tournament.

You can see the rest of the 2026 Champions League prize money breakdown below – that include teams netting a cool £1.77m for EVERY league phase win.

With eight league phase games – should Tottenham win ALL of these games (yes, I know that’s unlikely) they would add a further £14.16m to their bank balance.

Teams even get £590,000 just for drawing a league phase match – so you can see why teams getting into the Champions League is the ‘golden goose’ of football.

How Much Will The Champions League Winner 2026 Get?

As per the 2026 Champions League prize money breakdown table above – there are various more monetary carrots the further a team progresses.

If Tottenham (or any side) reach the top eight in the league phase, they can look forward to another £1.7m.

Then a round of 16 finish will bank them £9.27m, hitting the quarter-finals £10.53m and then if they get to the semi-finals, like bitter rivals Arsenal did this season – Tottenham can earn £12.64m.

But getting to the Champions League Final is where the big bucks are – the runner-up will walk away with £15.59m and the winner will collect £21.07m.

When Were Tottenham Last In The Champions League?

Spurs have been away from the Champions League since the 2022/23 season – when led by manager Antonio Conte.

They reached the last 16 year year but were eventually knocked out by AC Milan after a 1-0 loss away and a 0-0 draw at home.

Have Tottenham Ever Won The Champions League (European Cup)?

Spurs have now won the Europa League (UEFA Cup) three times after their 2025 win over Manchester United – and in that competition only Sevilla have a better record (7 wins).

However, they are yet to win the Champions League or the old European Cup since formed in 1882.

They did get to the 2019 Champions League Final in Madrid though, but lost 2-0 to Liverpool – which was one of the five previous all-English European finals.
