Champions League Last 16 Permutations: What Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Inter need to reach Quarter Finals 231pd

The Champions League last 16 continues on Tuesday night with six teams kicking off at 8pm, but what permutations does each team need to qualify and who could they face in the quarter finals?

Liverpool 1-0 PSG 4p4n21
After a strong performance in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash last week, PSG were left bitterly disappointed with a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool courtesy of a late Harvey Elliott goal.
The Parisians had 27 shots with 10 on target in the first leg, but Alisson pulled off an incredible man of the match performance to keep his side in the competition all night.
Liverpool in contrast had just one attempt on goal all game but Elliott’s winner puts the Reds in a commanding position as they return home to Anfield this week.
Of the three late kick offs on Tuesday this is the tie that hangs in the balance most and following a dominant – if not successful – performance in the first leg PSG will be confident they can get a result.
If PSG can only win by one goal the tie will head to extra time and penalties (if needed), with a Liverpool draw or win sending the Reds through.
The winner of this clash looks set to face Aston Villa barring a huge upset in their second leg at home to Brugge, with Unai Emery’s side holding a two goal advantage from the first game in Belgium.
Winner of tie faces: Aston Villa or Club Brugge
Bayer Leverkusen 0-3 Bayern Munich 146k4v
Bayern Munich crushed their German rivals in the first leg of this tie 3-0 last week and Bayer Leverkusen now have a huge task on their hands if they are to qualify for the last eight.
Leverkusen are hosts for the second leg thanks to their good finish in the new league phase, but they have been left without star midfielder Florian Wirtz who suffered a nasty ankle injury over the weekend.
Very few sides have advanced in the Champions League after being 3-0 down but Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso knows all about special comebacks in the competition, having played an important role in the infamous miracle of Istanbul for Liverpool during the 2004/05 final.
Against Bayern without their best player though things may be even tougher than that night for Alonso’s team here, as Bayern are fully expected to qualify on Tuesday night.
With the Champions League final played in Munich this year Bayern certainly hold strong claims in the competition if they are able to go far, and they’ll face either Inter or Feyenoord in the next round if they can maintain their healthy advantage.
Winner of tie faces: Inter or Feyenoord
Inter 2-0 Feyenoord 3p3h6m
Just like Liverpool’s tie against PSG this one still remains in the balance coming into the second leg, with Inter able to score twice against Feyenoord on the road last week.
A two goal advantage at the San Siro is huge for the Serie A leaders though as the Nerazzurri are yet to concede at home in the Champions League this season with a cumulative score of 9-0 across their four games.
Knowing that they will need at least two goals to qualify will push Feyenoord forward in their second leg this week and with the Dutch side forced into attack mode Inter may pounce on the counter.
With such a good home record in all competitions this season it is hard to see Inter conceding more than one on Tuesday night and one goal may be enough to book a spot in the quarter final where they will face either Bayern Munich or Bayer Leverkusen.
Winner of tie faces: Bayer Leverkusen or Bayern Munich
