Watch Celtic Vs Rangers highlights as fans were treated to an Old Firm classic in Sunday’s Scottish League Cup final at Hampden Park.

Celtic and Rangers played out one of the all-time great Old Firm ties as it took 120 minutes and penalties to separate the two old foes.

Former Leicester City keeper Kasper Schmeichel was the hero for Celtic as he saved Ridvan Yilmaz’s pivotal penalty.

With the first six spot-kicks all on target, Yilmaz’s failure to convert proved decisive and handed Celtic victory.

It was Rangers who opened the scoring before half-time, though. Nedim Bajrami turned in a rebound after Igamane was denied by Schmeichel.

After the break, all hell broke loose in a frantic second period that left fans and players exhausted.

Greg Taylor equalised for Celtic before Daizen Maeda put them ahead on the hour-mark.

It was then Rangers’ turn to equalise, with Diomande restoring parity ten minutes later.

Celtic looked to have won it three minutes from the end of normal time when Nicolas Kuhn fired home a third goal.

But Rangers incredibly came from behind once more moments later. Danilo leapt highest to direct Vaclav Cerny’s cross in, making it 3-3 at the end of 90 minutes.

In extra time, Celtic appeared the stronger, with Rangers tiring after their high-energy draw against Tottenham on Thursday.

But with neither side finding a winner, it took penalties to settle the tie.

Celtic have now overtaken their Old Firm rivals for silverware for the first time since the 1930’s.
