Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez Next Fight: Undisputed Clash With William Scull On Cinco De Mayo Weekend

Boxing fans are excited to see the great Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez back in action, as his next fight has been officially confirmed.

The reigning WBC, WBA-Super and WBO World Super-Middleweight Champion is a pound-for-pound boxing great, and will look to become the undisputed king at 168-pounds for the second time in his next fight.

The 34-year-old has the chance to win back the IBF Title he vacated, as he takes on William Scull on May 3rd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This will be the first fight where His Excellency Turki Alalshikh and ‘Canelo’ are working together, with a blockbuster ‘Cinco De Mayo’ card in Riyadh in early May.

Canelo’s record stands at an impressive 62-2-2 as of today, with the chance of securing his 4oth knockout in his next fight against the undefeated Scull. Scull himself is 23-0, having won the IBF World Super-Middleweight Title last time out against Vladimir Shishkin.

Although this is a tough fight for ‘Canelo’ on paper, it is one the best boxing betting sites are fully expecting him to win. The great Mexican is the overriding favourite here to become the undisputed 168-pound king for the second time.

That being said, the Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez next fight could prove a tricky task, with the Cuban fighter, who resides in , having never tasted defeat in his 23 professional outings to date.

There is no doubt that ‘Canelo’ is a massive favourite here with the best UK online bookmakers, which he has been for almost every single one of his fights. He remains a pound-for-pound superstar and one of the most impressive fighters of the 21st century. Period.

Could Canelo’s Next Fight After Scull Be Against Terence Crawford or David Benavidez?

Should Canelo’s next fight result in a victory, boxing fans will then be discussing his next steps after that rather quickly. The fight that seems most likely for ‘Canelo‘ after the William Scull contest is an undisputed vs undisputed showdown with the great Terence Crawford.

There have been strong rumours that the Crawford fight could happen in September. If not September, then in the first half of 2026. There was also talk of a Jake Paul fight for ‘Canelo’, but that seems far more unlikely.

The Artur Beterbiev, or perhaps even a move up to cruiserweight himself.

David Benavidez still wants the ‘Canelo’ fight desperately, but again the all-Mexican clash seems unlikely now with Benavidez’s recent move up to 175-pounds.

Although it is unknown the exact next move of the 34-year-old after the William Scull clash on ‘Cinco De Mayo’ weekend in Riyadh, the great Mexican p4p star certainly has an abundance of options. Whether that be a Jake Paul bout.

Time will tell what happens regarding the Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez next fight after the Scull clash on May 3rd at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
