Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has reportedly agreed on to sign a new contract at the Emirates, with official paperwork and an announcement set to follow in due course.

Insider Sam Cohen reports that Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has agreed to sign a new contract at the Emirates.
He posted on his X : “BREAKING: Understand Bukayo Saka has now agreed his new contract with Arsenal.

The news comes as a major boost to the Gunners, who take on Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, as their project continues to develop under Mikel Arteta.
Saka, undoubtedly one of Arteta’s star men, has impressed since returning from injury at the start of April and has now ed a total of 11 goals and 13 assists in 31 appearances across all competitions this term.
Due to Arsenal’s lack of trophies in recent seasons, there had been rumours that some of Europe’s elite may look to swarm for his signature, but it now looks as though the boyhood Gunner has put any lingering doubts over his future to bed.
When Is Bukayo Saka’s Current Contract Due To Expire?
Saka’s current contract, signed as part of a long-term deal in May 2023, is due to expire in the summer of 2027.
This meant that Gunners chiefs had plenty of time to strike a new deal with their most prized asset, but they look to have got in early to ensure that the 23-year-old extends his stay in North London for the forseeable future.
According to reports, Saka earns around £295,000 a week including bonuses, making him one of the highest earning players in Arsenal’s history. Of course, this figure will almost certainly increase with a new contract.
Does Bukayo Saka Have A Release Clause?
Saka’s current contract does NOT include a release clause, according to reports.
The Daily Mail reported in 2023 that the England international had requested to insert a release clause in his contract, but the Arsenal hierarchy refused, resulting in a shorter deal than what was initially planned.
It remains to be seen whether a release clause will be included in his new deal.
Fans can expect to learn more about the details of his reported contract agreement in the coming weeks and months, with Cohen’s report stating that official paperwork and an announcement are all that’s left to formalise the deal.
