Commenting on the potential transfer, the 28-year-old told Portuguese outlet A Bola:
“I recommend all the players in the national team, of course.
“Fortunately, Portugal has produced a lot of talent and continues to do so. We are a lucky country in that respect.”
He added:
“We are also very hard-working. A very small country, but one that has produced excellent players. Just yesterday, we saw four of our players (Gonçalo Ramos, Joao Neves, Nuno Mendes and Vitinha) lift the Champions League.
“It is an excellent sign for Portugal [big-money offers from Saudi Arabia]. I would like to have any player from the national team in my team.”
According to Express, Al Hilal are prepared to pay a league-record £100 million fee to sign the playmaker. United could use the funds to revamp their squad under Ruben Amorim after they missed out on European football. United also missed out on an additional £300,000 after Chelsea won the Conference League.
