Watch Brighton Vs Brentford highlights as the Seagulls were held to a goalless draw at home to Brentford in the Premier League.

The Seagulls made it six Premier League games without a win as they were frustrated by Brentford at home.

Thomas Frank’s Bees held firm to earn only their second away point of the season.

Brighton almost took an early lead through Julio Enciso. In the fifth minute, Joao Pedro teed up the Paraguayan, but his first-time strike rattled the right-hand post.

Neither side came closer to scoring in a rather dull affair at a grey and misty Amex Stadium

Brentford did manage to get the ball in the net, though. Despite boasting the league’s worst away record, they looked to have taken the lead after 14 minutes.

Yoane Wissa burst through and finished well past Verbruggen, but VAR judged that he was marginally offside.

Brighton’s Solly March – who had missed 14 months with a knee injury – came on as a replacement to a standing ovation from the Seagulls ers.

March had not played since Brighton lost 2-1 at Manchester City in October 2023.

His introduction was not enough to alter the result, though. March’s stoppage-time effort sailed over in the final seconds as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

The result leaves Bournemouth away from home, and have since slipped to tenth in the table.

For Brentford, they are still yet to win away from home. Sitting two points and one place below Brighton, the London side have been imperious at home but woeful on the road.

Next up, Brighton visit Arsenal on New Year’s day.
