Bayern Munich 1-2 Inter Milan Player Ratings | UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final 1st Leg

Serie A leaders Inter Milan claimed a thrilling 2-1 victory over Bundesliga juggernauts Bayern Munich in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night, 8 April.
The visitors landed the first blow in the Champions League tie, courtesy of star-striker Lautaro Martinez’s sublime outside-the-boot finish in the 38th minute. The Bavarians pushed hard to equalize, but it did not arrive until the final five minutes of the hotly contested duel.
Substitute Thomas Muller, who came off the bench in the 74th minute, scored the leveller, tapping home Konrad Laimer’s delivery from point-blank range. Bayern looked content with a draw, but Inter refused to keep the tie in the balance. Two minutes after Bayern’s goal, Inter went on the counter, with Nicolo Barrella playing a dinked ball through for Carlos Augusto. The left wingback penetrated the box before zipping the ball across the face of the goal. Davide Frattessi connected sweetly with the delivery to take it beyond Jonas Urbig and win the game for Inter.

Bayern Munich Player Ratings vs Inter
Jonas Urbig (6/10):
The 21-year-old goalkeeper could not do much about Lautaro Martinez’s trivela, but he should have been more proactive for Inter’s second goal. Jonas Urbig made two saves against the Italians and played eight accurate long balls.
Konrad Laimer (7.5/10):
Right-back Konrad Laimer was Bayern Munich’s standout performer against Inter Milan. He superbly assisted Thomas Muller, created a game-high six chances and won four of five ground duels. Solid effort.
Eric Dier (6.5/10):
The No. 15 was having a decent game until he allowed Davide Frattessi to drift behind him during Inter’s late counter, leading to the winning goal. He delivered six accurate long balls, won two tackles, and came out on top in five duels on Tuesday.
Min-Jae Kim (6/10):
Did not produce a performance worth writing home about. Lost four of eight duels and picked up a yellow card.
Josip Stanisic (6.5/10):
The Croatian left-back knocked the ball around well, but he did not offer much going forward. He was solid defensively, as he made four recoveries and won four duels.
Leon Goretzka (6/10):
Bayern Munich’s powerful midfielder was awfully poor in ground duels, losing seven of eight. He also committed two fouls and was dribbled past four times.
Paid €50m in the summer for Palhinha to bring stability to our defense in big K.O. games only to let Leon Goretzka start & jogging around the pitch when it comes to those matches is also killing me. So much money was burnt these past years..

Harry Kane (6/10):
Harry Kane did ever so well to get into dangerous positions, but his finishing was well below the mark. He missed three big chances, hitting the woodwork once.
