According to Dani Olmo’s agent, Barcelona rejected a world-record bid from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer for youngster Lamine Yamal.

Barca Rejected World-Record Lamine Yamal Bid

World Cup winner Yamal is known as one of the hottest prospects in European football, and he stole headlines over the summer after his performances for Spain en-route to winning Euro 2024.

He impressed so much in , that PSG attempted to sign him, but saw a €250million bid rejected, just days before Yamal’s 17th birthday.

Dani Olmo’s agent Andy Bara is the one that broke the news to the world of football, speaking on a recent podcast: “One thing I know for sure is that Barcelona did reject a big offer for Lamine Yamal from PSG some months ago, the deal was worth somewhere around €250m.”

Barca signed Olmo in the summer from RB Leipzig after he performed so well at the Euros, scoring three times and assisting a further two goals. PSG were also interested in Olmo, but he opted to the Spanish giants.

As you’d expect, the Catalan side are keen to keep hold of Yamal for as long as possible given his promise. It is believed that they instantly rejected PSG’s €250m bid.

The 17-year-old was speaking to local media recently, saying that he never wants to leave Barcelona: “I hope I never leave Barca. I hope to be a legend at Barcelona,”

Lamine Yamal is under contract at the Camp Nou until 2026, so it would be a shock to see him moving on anytime soon. The talented youngster spent eight years in Barca’s youth set up, before breaking through to the senior team at the age of 16. During his first season in La Liga, he broke several records, which you can see listed below.
