AZ From FPL Blackbox Includes Brighton Star In Top Three Budget Midfielders Ahead Of Gameweek 28

AZ from FPL Blackbox has highlighted a Brighton star in his GW28 and beyond tips, as the expert selects three of the best budget midfielders.
It’s been a hell of a week, with the FA Cup throwing up numerous injuries and many of us looking to Gameweek 29 where some of our players won’t even have a match.
The other big news was the return of Evanilson to the Bournemouth starting lineup, with new managers of Dango Outtarra suddenly sweating that his security of starts up front is in question.
With players like Luis Diaz, Ismaila Sarr, Morgan Rogers and Jacob Murphy blanking in 29, now might be the time to start thinking about mid-priced punts to tackle the next few weeks before we see a mass roll-out of Wildcards in Gameweek’s 30-31.
FPL GW28 Tips: Best Budget Midfielders
Yankuba Minteh (£5.0m)
Right wing has been a problem area for Brighton this season, with no-one really claiming the spot for their own. A strong start to the season for Minteh turned on its head due to injuries and lacklustre performances, with only three starts from Gameweeks 8-23.
Brajan Gruda, Simon Adingra and even Ferdi Kadioglu were all tasked with providing the threat down the right, but none have delivered.
However, Minteh has come back with a bang, delivering 2 goals and an assist in his last 3 Premier League starts and another goal against Newcastle in the cup.
This is now a man in form and with some doubts around the fitness of Kaoru Mitoma, this could be a perfect time to buy the Gambian international.
Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.5m)
There’s a couple of Nottingham Forest midfielders who look decent and I don’t think you can go wrong with one of Gibbs-White, Anthony Elanga (£5.3m) or Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.2m).
If you can stretch the budget however, I do think MGW is worth the money. He has 5 attacking returns in his last 4 games, in a steady season with 13 goal involvements already.
As Chris Wood is owned by such a large proportion of FPL managers, the only way to tap into Forest’s attack is to purchase one of their midfielders.
A home game against Manchester City will hold little fear, given how effective Forest are on the counter attack and in their transitional play.
Then they play Ipswich in a rematch of their FA Cup game where they squeaked through on penalties. I expect a much better performance in this game, where Forest players can all be considered credible captain options against the Tractor Boys.
Justin Kluivert (£6.1m)
Not the most exciting option on this list as he may very well already be in your team and has 30% ownership in the game.
However, if (like me) you went for Dango recently as your Bournemouth midfielder of choice, it might be time to consider moving over to Kluivert.
I’m very worried about Dango’s minutes and role in the team with Evanilson back. The stock of Kluivert, in my mind, has soared given his impressive underlying stats, 17 goal involvements, penalty duties and great fixtures right up until Gameweek 35.
It can be tempting to ignore a highly owned player like Kluivert, particularly if you are chasing rank or mini-leagues, but sometimes the most simple solution is the most effective.
If you don’t own Kluivert already and are in the market for a new midfielder, I think this one is a no-brainer.
