Az from Blackbox is here with three players on his FPL watchlist to utilise over the next three gameweeks to boost your fantasy team.

It’s a quick turnaround with FPL Gameweek 27 just around the corner. Here are the players I think you should be targeting for the next couple of weeks.

Don’t forget, it’s a blank Gameweek 29, so every transfer is crucial! Hold onto that Free Hit / Wildcard if you can… you’re going to need them afterwards!

FPL Watchlist: Best players to target for the next three Gameweeks

Jarrod Bowen

A masterful performance from West Ham saw them overcome Arsenal to put a major dent in the Gunners’ title hopes. At the heart of it all was Jarrod Bowen, scoring his 7th goal of the season. Bowen is currently playing up front, keeping Evan Ferguson from getting a look in. He now has 2 goals in 3 starts since coming back from injury, and I’m expecting him to have a brilliant end to the season as West Ham look to climb the table under their new manager, Graham Potter.

It’s winnable next games for West Ham, playing an out-of-sorts Leicester team before playing leaky Newcastle. Everton are likely to put up a sterner test at Goodison, but the Hammers will be confident of scoring against them if they can build on their promising most recent win. It’s a small sample size, but Bowen has recently been putting in numbers equivalent to his stellar 23/24 season, where he plundered 22 attacking returns. He has more touches in the box on average and is creating chances at a quicker rate. More returns are coming.

Bruno Fernandes

Recommending a Manchester United player at the moment feels risky, but they have to be considered playing both Leicester and Ipswich in the next three weeks.

Fernandes has been quiet this season, operating in a deeper role at times and without a real marksman to be at the end of his impressive chance creation. It was a spirited comeback from the Red Devils against Everton, however, when many of us had written them out of the match.

His goal came from an xG of just 0.12; however, I expect him to get forward more against potentially more obliging opposition. His monopoly of free kicks, corners and penalties gives him multiple routes to points. Plus, if (like me) you’re wildcarding in Gameweek 30, you can transfer him out when the fixtures get tough afterwards.

Pedro Neto

This one feels the most punty, but at just 0.9% ownership and playing Southampton and Leicester in the next two Gameweeks, Neto could be a massive differential in helping you climb the ranks.

Chelsea have been woeful the last couple of games, but Neto has had moments that have impressed me. He scored in the win against West Ham and while poor against Brighton, played up front against Villa and looked the most likely player to make something happen. Injuries are keeping both Madueke and Jackson out until after the international break in March, meaning that Neto should start all of the next three due to a shortage of options if nothing else.

Chelsea will look to Neto to provide a creative spark with Palmer struggling lately and other players looking a bit lost. Don’t forget his pedigree; last season he managed 2 goals and 11 assists in an injury-plagued season where he had just 18 starts. If he can carry on playing out of position, I expect him to get chances, and Chelsea will be hoping he can hit a rich vein of form to help them get over the line with their Champions League aspirations.
