In his programme notes ahead of Liverpool’s clash with PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Arne Slot has warned PSG of an Anfield crowd fully behind their team.

Liverpool’s biggest game of the season so far is coming up on Tuesday night, with the Reds welcoming PSG to Anfield for a Champions League last 16 second leg.

In Paris last week Arne Slot’s Liverpool team was able to pull off an upset at the Parc des Princes as despite only having one shot on target all night, a late Harvey Elliott winner gave the Premier League leaders a 1-0 advantage.

In tonight’s Champions League programme Slot has warned the visitors that while they are facing a strong Liverpool side, it could be the home ers that secure his team a spot in the quarter finals.

“I would like to welcome Luis Enrique and the staff, players and ers of PSG to Anfield for tonight’s game,” Slot stated.

“Tonight, though, PSG will not just play against Liverpool, they will also play against Anfield and against our fans. This is an advantage that we have had for many years, and it is one that we have to make the absolute most of.

“I asked our fans to turn up on Saturday and the response was good, especially in the second half when energy levels on the pitch improved, but tonight we need it to be even better.”

Slot is right to be confident on Liverpool’s chances at advancing to the next round of the Champions League with one of the strongest home records in Europe this year.

The Reds have lost just one game at home this season in all competitions and they still hold a 100% record at Anfield in Europe this year.

PSG will not be deterred though and after a strong performance in the first leg they will believe they have every chance on Tuesday night in a must-watch game.
