Alphonso Davies’ agent has denied claims the player has an agreement in place with Real Madrid as his Bayern contract nears expiry.

The Canada skipper is in the midst of his final year in contract with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and as it stands, there doesn’t appear to be any rush to sign a new deal.

Spanish outlet Marca sent Madrid ers into frenzy when they reported Davies has an agreement with the club to at the end of the season, but it looks like there’s more to the story.

Davies’ agent released a statement to deny the claims and said the player is assessing a number of different options, which includes his parent club:

“It’s not true that Alphonso has an agreement with Real Madrid. What is true is that we have many different options, and Bayern is one of them.”

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United expected to lock horns for Alphonso Davies’ signature

Three of Europe’s elite are set to go head-to-head to sign the 24-year-old left-back, who has enjoyed an illustrious spell with Bayern since 2019.

The player certainly has a taste for the finer things in football, winning five Bundesliga titles, a Champions League trophy and two German Cups in Munich.

Current Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, who coached Davies at Bayern between 2019 and 2021, is reportedly very interested in bringing the rapid full-back to the club.

Madrid certainly won’t go down without a fight and it could be a busy summer for Los Blancos in 2025, who are also targeting Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold on the opposite side of defence.

Davies made his name in the MLS with the Vancouver Whitecaps before ing the Bundesliga giants in a $22 million deal at the age of just 17.

The player has plenty to focus on outside of his future at the minute as Bayern are long odds-on favourites with the best football betting sites to win the league.

Vincent Kompany’s side are undefeated to begin the campaign with eight wins and two draws from ten games, five points clear of RB Leipzig in second.
