Tom Brady Is Breaking Records Even During the NFL Offseason

New England Patriots, is no stranger to setting records on the football field. But the seven-time Super Bowl champion is also breaking records off of it these days as one of his rare rookie cards just recently sold for a jaw-dropping amount, breaking the previous record set by a card featuring…yep, you guessed it…Tom Brady.
Tom Brady owns 15 Super Bowl records after winning his seventh title
Tom Brady easily holds the record for most Super Bowl victories with seven, which everyone knows. But did you know TB12 holds another 14 Super Bowl records as well? Take a look.

TB12 should easily break another NFL record in 2021

While we won’t get into Tom Brady’s regular-season records as that would obviously be a much longer list than the Super Bowl list we just did above, we will get into the fact that TB12 will become the NFL’s all-time ing yards leader at some point during the 2021 season, at least as it pertains to the regular season as he’s already the career leader in postseason ing yards by a wide margin.
With 12,449 postseason ing yards, he’s more than 5,000 ahead of second-place Peyton Manning. But that’s what happens when you’ve played 45 playoff games, also an NFL record.
As far as the regular season goes, Brady currently sits in second place on the all-time ing yards list with 79,204. He needs just 1,155 yards in 2021 to take over the No. 1 spot from Drew Brees. When (not if) that happens, Brady and Brees will be 1-2 on both the all-time ing yards list and the all-time regular-season ing touchdowns list, which Tom Brady currently tops with 581. Brees finished his career with 571.
A Tom Brady rookie card recently sold for a record $2.25 million
So about this Tom Brady rookie card.
Back in March, a 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket Tom Brady card was sold to Fitbit CEO James Park for a record $1.32 million, beating out a Patrick Mahomes rookie card that was sold in February for $861,000.
But just this past Friday, the same type of Brady rookie card was sold to an anonymous donor for $2.25 million, shattering the previous record for a football card set last month. According to ESPN, there were only 100 copies of this particular card produced and each is autographed. The record card was graded as an 8.5 overall with the autograph getting a grade of nine.
So as you can see, Tom Brady can even break records in the offseason.
