Marvel kicks off its 2025 slate with Thunderbolts*. Marvel’s antiheroes are ready to storm the box office. View the predictions and odds for Thunderbolts* opening weekend box office total.

What Is Thunderbolts* About?

The Avengers are not coming, meaning the world needs new heroes.

The Thunderbolts are not the Avengers, but they may be all the people have. The Thunderbolts include Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker.

When the Thunderbolts are ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), these outlaws must come together, survive, and more importantly, save the world.

If not, the Void (Lewis Pullman) will destroy the city.

Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, and Wendell Pierce also star.

Beef’s Jake Schreier directs from a screenplay by Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo.

Thunderbolts* opens in theaters on May 2.
