When the Kansas City Chiefs take the field for Super Bowl 57, their offensive unit will look almost entirely different than what it did three years ago when Andy Reid & Co. won the franchise’s first championship in half a century.

In fact, of the 11 starters that will line up on the offensive side of the football against the Philadelphia Eagles, quarterback Travis Kelce will be the only two players that started the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 54 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

It’s truly amazing that a team can go through so many roster changes and still remain as competitive as the Chiefs obviously have since winning the franchise’s second Super Bowl three years ago.

Overall, only 15 players remain from the roster that won Super Bowl 54, which is truly a testament to Reid and his entire coaching staff. But we’ll keep our focus on the offense here.

As mentioned in the intro, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are the only two offensive starters for Kansas City in Super Bowl 57 that also started Super Bowl 54. So here’s a quick rundown of all the changes that were made elsewhere, beginning with the offensive line.

Three years ago, the Chiefs started Eric Fisher (LT), Stefen Wisniewski (LG), Austin Reiter (C), Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (RG), and Mitchell Schwartz (RT). Of that group, only Reiter is still with the team, but he spent the entire 2022 season on the practice squad. However, he has been called up to the main roster for Super Bowl 57.

On Sunday, the Chiefs’ starting offensive line will consist of Orlando Brown (LT-2021 trade with BAL), Joe Thuney (LG-2021 free agency), Creed Humphrey (C-drafted 2022, second round), Trey Smith (LG-drafted 2021, sixth round), and Andrew Wylie (RT-2017 waiver claim). It should be noted that Wylie started 11 games for Kansas City during the 2019 season but did not play Super Bowl 54 due to injury.

At running back, you’ve got Isiah Pacheco (drafted 2022, seventh round) instead of Damien Williams. And at wide receiver, you’ve got the trio of JuJu Smith-Schuster (2022 free agency), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2022 free agency), and Kadarius Toney (2022 trade with NYG) replacing Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, and Mecole Hardman.

Hardman is still with the team but dealt with injury troubles throughout the 2022 season and will not suit up for the Chiefs in Super Bowl 57.
