Eagles star Saquon Barkley has broken almost every running back record available this season and with just 29 rushing yards at Super Bowl LIX, he can break the most impressive one yet.

There can be no debate over just how good Saquon Barkley has been this year for the Philadelphia Eagles and he now has the opportunity to put this season down in the history books as one of the best individual campaigns ever.
Barkley became just the ninth player in NFL history to record 2,000 rushing yards in a singular regular season in his first year with the Eagles, but he was unable to break the all time record which stands with Terrell Davis at 2,105 yards.
There could have been an opportunity for Barkley to eclipse the record in Philadelphia’s final game of the season but understandably the Eagles chose to rest their star running back against his former team, with the number one seed out of reach.
With Barkley missing out on the match against the New York Giants, he finished just 100 yards short of Davis’ regular season record. Although he has since itted that he is only focused on winning the Super Bowl, Barkley’s season deserved to win the record.
After missing out on history in the regular season, Barkley is now hunting down Davis in a different record for most rushing yards in a season including the playoffs.

In the playoffs so far, Saquon Barkley has had 119 yards against Green Bay, 205 yards against the Rams and 118 yards on Sunday against the Commanders.
With three faultless performances, Barkley is now just 29 yards away from Terrell Davis’ record that has stood for 26 years.
Barkley’s rushing yard line has been well over 100 for the majority of this season and with an average of 125.3 yards per game, it is hard to see the running back dropping less than 27 yards in the Super Bowl unless something goes drastically wrong.
