When Beyoncé performs during halftime of the game between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans, one player who plans to watch is Lamar Jackson.

Lamar Jackson Wants To Watch Beyoncé

On Monday, Jackson spoke to reporters about the Ravens’ Christmas Day game against the Texans. With the game on Netflix, the highly anticipated contest will feature a halftime show from multi-time Grammy winner Beyoncé.

One of the reporters asked if Jackson was disappointed that he couldn’t watch the performance since he would be playing in the game. Jackson smirked and joked about his plans to watch the show and pre-apologized to his head coach, John Harbaugh.

“No, cause I’m gonna go out there and watch,” Jackson said via Sarah Ellison. “I’m gonna go out there and watch, man. First time seeing Beyoncé perform and it’s at our game? That’s dope. I’m gonna go out and watch. Sorry, Harbaugh. Sorry, fellas.”

The outcome of the first half doesn’t matter to Jackson. All he wants to do is take in the Beyoncé show.

“I’m not even thinking about the lead,” Jackson said. “I was just thinking about seeing Beyoncé for the first time. Not saying it like that, no disrespect. I know how people can take things. Pause.”

Ravens Play Texans On Netflix

For the first time, Netflix will stream two NFL games.

The first game features the Kansas City Chiefs (14-1) taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET. The second game pits Jackson’s Ravens up against C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans (9-6) at 4:30 p.m. ET. Both games will air on Netflix.

The Ravens come into the game after a massive 34-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The win clinched the Ravens’ sixth trip to the postseason in seven seasons.

Baltimore is now tied with Pittsburgh for the AFC North. However, the Steelers own the tiebreaker over the Ravens, meaning Baltimore can only win the division if they finish with a better record than Pittsburgh.
