Will Gardner Minshew Or Aidan O’Connell Start In Week 6?
Raiders HC Antonio Pierce told reporters that he’s still evaluating who will be the team’s starting QB, Gardner Minshew or Aidan O'Connell. For now, the team is treating it like a competion before deciding who will start vs. the Steelers.

Head coach Antonio Pierce has not decided who will start in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pierce told reporters (via Adam Schefter) he’s “still evaluating” the position as he chooses between Minshew and O’Connell.
Minshew won the job over O’Connell in training camp. Minshew has thrown for 1,014 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions with a completion percentage of 70.7%.
However, the Raiders (2-3) are 23rd in scoring (19.2 points per game).
Minshew and the Raiders were positioned to take the lead in the second quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos. Instead of scoring a touchdown to go up 17-3, Minshew threw a 100-yard pick-six to Broncos quarterback Patrick Surtain II.
The Raiders lost all momentum as the Broncos eventually won 34-18.
Minshew was benched for O’Connell late in the third quarter. O’Connell finished 10 of 20 for 94 yards.

"I don't know. You'd have to ask Davante."

The quarterback controversy is not the only problem that needs a resolution. The Davante Adams saga took another turn on Monday after Pierce said the situation remained “status quo.”
When asked what went wrong in his relationship with Adams, Pierce said, “I don’t know. I think you’ve got to ask Davanate that.”
Adams is currently out nursing a hamstring injury.
Last week, Adams informed the Raiders that he preferred to be traded to the New York Jets or the New Orleans Saints.
The NFL’s trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
