Paddy Pimblett Balloons Over 40lbs After UFC 314 Win: “I’m Fat, But I’ll Be Back”

Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is once again making headlines, not just for his electrifying performance inside the Octagon, but for what he’s doing outside of it. Just a week after his career-defining third-round TKO victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 314, Pimblett has revealed he’s gained a staggering 42 pounds, tipping the scales at 198lbs after weighing in at 156lbs for the fight.
Celebration Mode: Pimblett’s Post-Fight Indulgence
The Liverpool native, known for his love of junk food and unapologetic personality, didn’t waste any time celebrating the biggest win of his MMA journey. Following his Miami victory, Pimblett partied on a yacht before heading back to the UK, indulging in what he calls the “American food machine.” In a candid interview with Bruce Buffer on the IT’S TIME!!! podcast, Pimblett itted, “I had about five milkshakes after the fight, literally. This morning, I woke up at 198lbs, which is fat. That’s about the heaviest I get. I don’t ever really touch 200lbs. Only in the States. In the States, that food, it makes me into a machine. I’m just massive in the States, but when I’m back in the UK, the highest I’ll reach is 195lbs or something like that”.

Pimblett blames the large portion sizes and free refills in the US for his rapid weight gain, a notorious pattern that has become almost as much a part of his brand as his fighting style. Now back home, he plans to keep active in the gym while awaiting word from the UFC on his next opponent.
What’s Next for “The Baddy”?
Despite his current “fat” status, Pimblett’s ambitions in the lightweight division remain razor sharp. Fresh off his dominant win over Chandler, he’s set his sights on the division’s elite. Pimblett named former champion Charles Oliveira as his dream next fight, but he’s open to any matchup that will propel him toward a title shot. “I just wanna fight. Whoever that one person is that will get me a title shot, I want that fight,” Pimblett declared.
He’s also eyeing a return at the UFC’s annual October pay-per-view in Abu Dhabi, a location he’s long wanted to compete in. “My plan even before the fight was to fight in Abu Dhabi in October. I’ve always wanted to fight there. The UFC always do a PPV there in October. I just think it would be the perfect time to come back. Recharge my batteries over the summer, keep training every day, keep the weight down, and then go right back into camp in August or September,” Pimblett explained.
For now, fans can expect more classic Pimblett: a mix of unapologetic indulgence, honesty, and relentless ambition. Whether he’s 156 or 198 pounds, “The Baddy” continues to be one of MMA’s most compelling—and unpredictable—personalities.
