Oklahoma City Thunder Made History With Game Four Win

The Oklahoma City Thunder took a 3-1 series lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves in game four of the Western Conference Finals.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put the team on his back in game four and scored 40 points with 10 assists and nine rebounds. Jalen Williams scored 34 points and had three steals. Alexander and Williams helped give the Thunder a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Anthony Edwards struggled in game four, scoring just 16 points after scoring 32 in game two and 30 in game three.

The Thunder made a bit of history with their game four win. Teams entered with a record of 0-190 all-time in the playoffs when having fewer rebounds, assists, free throw attempts, FG%, 3P%, and free throw % in a game than their opponent.

After winning game four, the Thunder made it 1-190.
The Thunder won the turnover battle by recording 14 steals compared to Minnesota recording eight. Minnesota committed 21 turnovers while Oklahoma City had 14 turnovers in game four.
Playing excellent defense is why the Thunder finished first in the West, as well as having the MVP.
Each starter for the Thunder recorded at least one steal. Eight total players recorded a steal for the Thunder. Five players recorded two or more steals for Oklahoma City.
Chet Holmgren scored 21 points and was a major factor on defense. He recorded a steal and three blocks.
Thunder Will End The Series In Five Games
After a game four in which the Thunder had no business winning, the series heads back to Oklahoma City for game five.
The Thunder have a commanding 3-1 series lead. With the Thunder having all the momentum, this series is all but over.
Alexander will once again have a big game in game five and send Minnesota packing.
