New England Patriots (+350)
The main focus for the Patriots this offseason was defense. New England allocated big money in free agency and picked up some of the best available defenders on the market, but could still use an their rush that ranked dead last in the NFL last season.
Trading for Hendrickson would make sense, and the Patriots still have plenty of money to spend. Despite all of their acquisitions, no team has more available cap space as we head into the summer months. The combination of necessity and financial situation make New England the favorite to land the 30-year-old rusher.
Philadelphia Eagles (+425)
The reigning Super Bowl champions are third on the odds board, and for good reason. The Eagles rush wasn’t exactly dominant last season, as they finished 15th in the NFL in total sacks and 28th in pressure percentage. They haven’t done much this offseason to correct the situation, and instead lost two of their top three sack producers in the process.
They could be interested in brining Trey Hendrickson aboard, but he might not be their primary target. When it comes to the odds at BetOnline for which team will trade for TJ Watt if the Steelers make him available, the Eagles are the top candidate.
Trey Hendrickson (35.0 sacks) and T.J. Watt (30.5) are 1-2 in the NFL in sacks the past two seasons. Neither one is attending mandatory minicamp.

San Francisco 49ers (+650)
The 49ers brought in Bryce Huff to assist with their rush, but San Francisco is largely leaning on rookies to provide some production opposite of Nick Bosa. It is unclear whether the team would want to add another high-priced contract, though, as they’ve been looking to shed payroll recently.
That is likely the reason that the 49ers spent their first two draft selections on defensive linemen, in order to get cheap production at the position. Nonetheless, they are still listed as the 5th most likely destination for Hendrickson.
