The NFL season. Rookie Bo Nix helped lead the team to a 10-7 record, but they ran into a tough matchup with the Buffalo Bills and were eliminated in the Wild Card round.

Denver Broncos | NFL Draft Preview

They’ll use the 2025 NFL Draft to try and surround Nix with the needed talent and to upgrade the roster. What picks do they have in the selection process, and what players might they pick?

The Broncos have seven picks in the draft, but three of them are in the 6th round. They’ll have their own selections in the first four rounds, but owe the Miami Dolphins their 5th rounder, which stems from the Bradley Chubb trade in 2022.

Team Needs

Running Back

Javonte Williams led the team in rushing in each of the last two seasons, but Denver chose not to bring him back. They didn’t address the position in free agency, meaning they will likely use one of their picks in the first two rounds to draft a running back. None of the players on the current depth chart has ever eclipsed 500 rushing yards in a single season.

Wide Receiver

Courtland Sutton built chemistry with Bo Nix in 2024, but the Broncos still have one of the least-talented wide receiver groups in the NFL. Marvin Mims is currently listed as WR2, and the newly-acquired Trent Sherfield is one of the options for the third spot. It probably won’t be in the first round, but look for Denver to take a catcher in the second or third rounds.

Tight End

The Broncos’ top tight end gained a total of just 181 receiving yards last season. The team signed Evan Engram during the free agency period, but they still could use some depth at the position. The third round looks like a prime spot for them to add a tight end, which is where Terrance Ferguson is projected to be selected. The Oregon product caught es from Nix in college.
