The NBA Playoffs. One of their potential trade candidates is forward Michael Porter Jr, who is coming off one of the best seasons of his career.

Which NBA Teams Might Trade For Michael Porter Jr?

Which teams might be interested in bringing in the 27-year-old former champion? The oddsmakers at Bovada have released the odds on which team is most likely to trade for Porter Jr, and we take a look at the top three on the list.

Golden State Warriors +300

The Warriors feel like they left something on the table during the 2025 NBA playoffs due to the injury to Steph Curry. They’ll be looking to improve this coming off-season, and have some young assets that they can dangle as trade fodder.

Jonathan Kuminga’s situation will be the team’s biggest focus this summer, and Denver could look into the possibility of him being the centerpiece of a potential Porter Jr. deal. Golden State would likely have to do some roster shuffling in order to make the money work, as he would become one of their highest earners for 2025-26.

Chicago Bulls +400

The Bulls figure to be active on the trade market this off-season, and should be one of the teams with the most money of any NBA team to spend on improving their roster. They can decide whether Michael Porter Jr. fits their current build, and whether they’d want to make the hefty financial decision.

If Chicago were to bring Porter Jr. in, he would instantly become the team’s highest earner based on the current cap allocations. Nikola Vucevic is currently slated to be the highest paid player on the Bulls’ roster for 2025-26, but has had his name floated in trade rumors for years now.

Los Angeles Lakers +600

The Lakers are looking to maximize the final years of LeBron James’ NBA career while setting themselves up for the future with Luka Doncic. Trading for Michael Porter Jr. could fit both timelines. He would be the reliable shooting wing that the team was missing last season, and someone who has the championship experience to help James have one final shot at a title.

Porter Jr. is 27 years old and is locked in for at least the next two seasons on his current contract. But would the Lakers be willing to take on the over $79 million that he is set to earn over the next two years? The team is in need of big man help as well, which is where some of their money may be allocated this summer.
