Shohei Ohtani Tops MLB Jersey Sales List

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani topped the MLB’s jersey sales for the second consecutive season, per Major League Baseball and the players’ association subsidiary MLB Players Inc.

Ohtani became the first player in MLB history with 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in one season. Ohtani’s regular season numbers: .310 average, 54 HRs, 130 RBI, 59 SB, and a 1.036 OPS. that Ohtani did this all while playing DH, as he could not pitch due to an arm injury.

While Ohtani will win the NL MVP, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is a shoo-in to win the AL MVP. The Yankee captain came in at No. 3 in jersey sales.

Judge finished the 2024 regular season with a .322 average, 58 HRs, 144 RBI, and a 1.159 OPS.

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper (No. 2), Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts (No. 4), and New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (No. 5) fill out the top five.

The Dodgers occupied the most spots in the top 20 with four, followed by the Yankees, Padres, Phillies, and Mets with two each.
