Four misfits — Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Jason Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers), and Dawn (Danielle Brooks) — are sucked into a portal that takes them into Overworld, a cubic wonderland.

Overworld thrives on creativity; the only way out is to be bold.

With the help of Steve (Jack Black), the group must use their imagination to build and conquer their magical quest. It’s the only way back to the real world.

Sebastian Eugene Hansen and Jennifer Coolidge also star.

Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) directs A Minecraft Movie from a screenplay by Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener, Gavin James, and Chris Galletta.

A Minecraft Movie opens in theaters on April 4, 2025.

After a series of flops and underperforming movies, Warner Bros. hopes families show up for A Minecraft Movie in a big way.

The odds reflect that Minecraft will open to over $70 million (-9900)

Fandango reported that A Minecraft Movie is the best PG-rated ticket preseller of 2025.

Minecraft should easily sur a $60 million opening. However, $70 million is very likely.
