One name to keep an eye on as the NFL’s annual trade deadline approaches is Maxx Crosby. Will the Raiders move their star defensive end?

Raiders Trade Davante Adams To Jets

The Raiders traded away one of their best players earlier this week, Davante Adams.

The Raiders sent their star wide receiver to the New York Jets for a 2025 conditional third-round draft pick. The move comes weeks after Adams informed that team about wanting to be traded.

With Adams gone, would the Raiders consider moving Crosby before the trade deadline on November 5? Raiders owner Mark Davis put those rumors to bed for now, saying he’s not interested in moving his best defensive player.

“It’s unfortunate today, but there’s so much outside chatter that is not true,” Davis told The Athletic. “It’s not coming from any sources. It’s not coming from anything. My basic thing is never to answer all that stuff because, otherwise, you get trapped in this black hole. It’s just not happening.”

Maxx Crosby Trade Destinations

First of all, it will take significant draft capital for a team to acquire Crosby. A first-round pick will most likely have to be included in the trade.

Let’s pretend Davis changes his mind and wants to move Crosby before the deadline. Which teams could be in the running for Crosby’s services?

The Detroit Lions are at the top of the list. The Lions lost their best defensive player, Aidan Hutchinson, for the season after he suffered a brutal leg injury in the win over the Cowboys.

The Lions have a Super Bowl-caliber roster. Adding Crosby could be the difference between making the playoffs and winning the championship.

The San Francisco 49ers should always be considered when acquiring star players. In October 2022, the 49ers traded for Christian McCaffrey, the best running back in the NFL for the last two seasons.

Last season, the 49ers traded for defensive ends Randy Gregory and Chase Young.

If one team can find a way to make Crosby’s cap hit work, it’s the 49ers.
