What Is Lilo & Stitch About?
Ohana means family.
Lilo Pelekai (Maia Kealoha) is a young Hawaiian girl who lives with her older sister, Nani (Sydney Elizebeth Agudong), after her parents’ deaths.
Desperate for a friend, Lilo stumbles upon Stitch, a blue alien who escapes from his ship and crash-lands in Hawaii. Lilo adopts Stitch as a dog.
Stitch was genetically engineered to be a destructive force. After spending time with Lilo, Stitch reconsiders his intentions and s this new family.
However, aliens want to retrieve Stitch and bring him back to space. Meanwhile, federal agents descend upon the town with their own plans for Stitch.
Besides Kealoha and Agudong, Lilo & Stitch stars Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis.
Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On) directs Lilo & Stitch from a screenplay by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes.
Chris Sanders, who wrote and directed the 2002 animated film with Dean DeBlois, returns to voice Stitch.
Lilo & Stitch opens in theaters on May 23.
