Kanye West Super Bowl Commercial 2025: What Happened In The Controversial Ad?

In one of the Super Bowl’s most bizarre moments, rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West appeared in a strange commercial during Fox’s broadcast.

In a vertical video shot on his phone, West recorded himself in a dentist’s chair as an ment for his Yeezy brand.

“So what’s up, guys?” West said to start the commercial. “I spent like all the money for the commercial on these new teeth, so once again I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Uhh…umm…umm…go to Yeezy.com.”

West included the link to his website, which sells Yeezy brand merchandise, including clothing, songs, vinyl, and CDs.

Joe Flint reported that West’s commercial only aired in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.

How much did West pay for the ment? Many companies bought 30-second commercials for $8 million to air during Super Bowl 2025. It’s unclear if West paid that amount, considering it only aired in three markets.

Kanye West Sells Swastika T-Shirt On Website

After the ment aired, West pulled all of the merchandise except for one item: a swastika T-shirt for $20.

The T-shirt is the latest example of West promoting racist, antisemitic, pornographic, and misogynistic posts on social media. On X, West called Hitler “fresh” and said, “I’m a Nazi.”

West’s X profile was later deactivated.

In response to the swastika T-shirt, Shopify, the e-commerce platform that completes transitions of West’s merchandise, shut down Yeezy.com.

Many groups and organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League, condemned West’s actions, saying they “threatened and instilled fear in those targeted by antisemitism and white supremacy.”
