Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins is coming off the best season of his career. Dobbins should have a robust market in free agency. View the next team odds for J.K. Dobbins below.

J.K. Dobbins Coming Off A Career Year

Coming off a torn Achilles in 2023, Dobbins had to sign a cheap one-year deal with the Chargers to prove he could still play at a high level.

Dobbins bet on himself, and it paid off in a big way.

Dobbins set career highs in rushing yards (905), rushing touchdowns (9), receptions (32), and receiving yards (153) in only 13 games played.

The 26-year-old became the Chargers’ top running back under Jim Harbaugh’s run-first offense.

Dobbins did miss four games because of an MCL sprain.

When healthy, Dobbins proved he could be the No. 1 option at running back.

Dobbins is arguably the second-best running back available on the market behind Aaron Jones.

The Chargers might let Dobbins walk if the price is too high. The Chargers probably believe that they can find another Dobbins-esque player at a cheaper price.

Is this the year the Dallas Cowboys finally address the running back position?

BetOnline has the Dallas Cowboys (+300) as the favorites to land Dobbins. Dallas ranked 27th in rushing yards per game in 2024 (100.3).

Dallas has the No. 12 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and could use that to select Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty. However, Jerry Jones might elect to go with the proven commodity in Dobbins and use the first-round pick on a position.

In 2024, the Denver Broncos (+350) used a running back by committee approach, with Javonte Williams leading the way with 513 yards. Sean Payton will likely want an upgrade, meaning Dobbins could be of service.

Keep an eye on the Minnesota Vikings (+800). If Jones does walk, Kevin O’Connell will want a strong running game to protect his young quarterback in J.J. McCarthy. Dobbins could be the answer.
