Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Boxing Match Moves To November

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson has been rescheduled to November 15, 2024. The fight will stream live on Netflix from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The fight was originally scheduled for July 20. On May 31, Tyson pulled out of the fight due to an ulcer flare-up, forcing the former heavyweight champion to stop training.

Despite the injury, Paul and Tyson believed this fight would still happen in 2024. Now, it’s set for November.

“Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly. I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties,” Mike Tyson said to Netflix. “While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.”

Tale of the Tape

Paul enters the Tyson fight with a record of 9-1, with six knockouts. After losing to Tommy Fury in February 2023, Paul has won three straight fights, with victories over Nate Diaz, Andre August, and Ryan Bourland.

Tyson is the former heavyweight champion of the world, with a professional record of 50-6, including 44 wins by knockout. “The Baddest Man on the Planet” has not fought professionally since 2005.

Tyson’s last professional boxing win came in February 2003 against Clifford Etienne.

Paul vs. Tyson will be a professional fight sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). It will consist of eight two-minute rounds with 14-ounce gloves and no headgear.

The co-main event features the highly anticipated rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano for Taylor’s undisputed super lightweight championship.

“Paul vs. Tyson is the most cross generational sporting event in history, and we are committed to providing fans worldwide with this unforgettable night of boxing, live globally on Netflix,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday, November 15 for a showdown that will be talked about for generations to come.”
