Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has walked back his comments about wanting to leave the organization and apologized to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tyreek Hill Walks About Comments About Dolphins, Tua

An apologetic Hill appeared on Friday’s edition of Up & Adams and walked back his comments about wanting to leave Miami.

“I don’t want to go nowhere. I love it. My family loves it,” Hill said to host Kay Adams. “Kids absolutely love being on the beach every morning. So it’s an amazing thing, man. It’s an amazing thing, man.

When it became clear the Dolphins would not make the playoffs, Hill pulled himself out of Week 18’s loss to the New York Jets. Hill’s frustration carried over into the locker room, with the star wideout going so far as to ask to say that he’s “out.”

“I have to do what’s best for me and my family — if that’s here or wherever the case may be. I’m about to open up that door for myself,” Hill said. “I’m out, bruh. It was great playing here but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for my career.”

On Friday, Hill was singing a different tune. After having some time to think about his comments, Hill wants to remain in Mimi.

“We are really building something special in Miami,” Hill continued. “We made it to the playoffs the first two years. Obviously, this year was hard. If guys continue to buy in, to what coach is building and the culture that he’s trying to build, it’s going to be an amazing thing.”

Tyreek Hill Apologizes To Tua Tagovailoa

Hill issued multiple apologies on Friday, none bigger than the one he addressed to Tagovailoa.

“Tua, he’s my guy, always will be my guy, no matter what,” Hill said. “I’m sure he understands my frustration. We all want to win. Tua, he’s another competitor. He’s a hell of a competitor. A lot of people don’t know that. He’s a winner. He’s consistent. So I’m looking forward just to us continuing to build our relationship even more, and this is my public apology.

Hill continued, “This is my public apology to you, Tua. Love you, bro.”

Time will tell if Hill wants to stay in Miami as the offseason progresses.
