Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is arguably the top free agent on the market at his position. If the Bucs do not re-sign Godwin, where will he end up? Here are the odds for Chris Godwin’s next team.

Chris Godwin Will Be The Top WR On The Market

Free agency is all about timing and market demand.

Godwin could not have picked a better time to be a free agent.

Cincinnati’s Tee Higgins is regarded as the top wide receiver in this year’s class. However, the Bengals applied the franchise tag to Higgins for the second consecutive season.

Teams can still sign Higgins. However, they have to give the Bengals two first-round picks as compensation for g Higgins.

Barring a shocking development, Higgins will be on the Bengals in 2025.

That makes Godwin the top wide receiver in free agency.

Godwin, 29, cannot be tagged, meaning he can sign with any team that offers him a contract.

With Higgins off the board, Godwin could be looking at a multi-year contract for a total value near $100 million.

Godwin was on pace for a career year before his season-ending ankle injury in Week 7. Godwin had a league-leading 50 receptions for 576 yards and five touchdowns before the injury.

Chris Godwin Next Team Odds If Not Bucs

When Godwin hits free agency, the Carolina Panthers (+250) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (+300) are considered the favorites to land the Buccaneers wide receiver.

Carolina is attempting to stockpile Bryce Young with some weapons while he’s on a rookie contract.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh desperately needs a second receiver to pair with George Pickens.

The New England Patriots (+600) are the team to keep a close eye on. The Patriots are projected to have the most cap space in the NFL ($119 million).

g Godwin to become Drake Maye’s top option is a great step in the team’s rebuild under new coach Mike Vrabel.

Chris Godwin Next Team Odds
Carolina Panthers +250
Pittsburgh Steelers +300
Las Vegas Raiders +400
New England Patriots +600
