In a highly anticipated contest, Team Canada took on Team USA in the 4 Nations hockey tournament on Saturday, February 15.
A lot of controversy surrounded the game due to politics. Canadians were booing the American anthem before the games began.
Three fights broke out in the first nine seconds of the game.

The USA ultimately defeated Canada 3-1 in a hectic game. Connor McDavid scored the first goal to put Canada up 1-0. However, Team USA scored three unanswered goals. Jake Guentzel scored twice, and Dylan Larkin scored a goal and assisted.
The TV viewership from the USA vs Canada game is now known. A total of 10.1 million viewers from North America watched the hockey game.

The estimated USA population is just under 350 million people. However, the estimated Canadian population is just over 40 million people.
This means that approximately 1.25% of the population in America watched the hockey contest.
In Canada however, nearly 15% of the population tuned into the contest.
While hockey is a far more popular sport in Canada than in the USA, this number is low for American viewers since the game was on ABC.
These two teams will square off in the finals for the 4 Nations tournament on Thursday, February 20 at 8 PM EST.
It will be on ESPN in the USA and not on ABC. This could hurt the viewership numbers in the USA.
One is to assume even more viewers will tune in in Canada. Almost 15% of the population watched the first contest. It will be even higher for the final contest.
The finals of the 4 Nations tournament is gearing up to be a must-watch event. Unlike the first contest, which was in Montreal, Quebec Canada, the finals will be held in Boston, MA.
The anticipation will be high for the contest. Between the anthem, fights breaking out, and which team will come out on top, the 4 Nations finals is going to be an exciting game.
