Caitlin Clark Contract: Indiana Fever Star Set To Earn Just $78,066 In 2025

Caitlin Clark has been one of the biggest attractions in American sports for over a year now, and is one of the young superstars that the WNBA currently has to offer. But despite her popularity and the money that she generates from the league, she is set to earn an amount that pales in comparison to some of her NBA counterparts.
Caitlin Clark Owed Just $78,066 In 2025
Upon being selected with the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark was signed to a standard base contract worth just north of $338,000 over the span of four years. That comes out to an annual average of $84,514. By comparison, the top pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Zaccharie Risacher received a four-year contract, which is worth a total of $57 million.
That means that Risacher earns more than twice as much per game over the life of his contract than Caitlin Clark earns in an entire season.

Who Are The Highest Paid WNBA Players?
Who is the highest paid player in the league for the current WNBA season? That designation actually belongs to Clark’s teammate. Now in her 8th year with the Indiana Fever, Kelsey Mitchell signed a supermax deal this past offseason, which put her at the top of the list of most money owed in 2025. Mitchell will bring home $249,244 this year, just $212 more than Arike Ogunbowale in second place.
It is Ogunbowale who has the richest overall contract in the league. The six-year veteran is entering the final year of her deal with the Dallas Wings, that she signed back in 2022. For 2025, it is still the richest WNBA contract when it comes to overall combined value. That number sits at $725,952. No other player comes within $100,000 of the figure.
Caitlin Clark has certainly capitalized on her stardom financially, though it isn’t through anything she does on the court. According to a report by Sportico, Clark earned an estimated $11.1 million in 2024 via her NIL deal and various endorsements from popular companies. Just 1% of her overall earnings comes from her WNBA deal.
