San Francisco 49ers have finally agreed to a new contract that makes him one of the 10 highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

Brock Purdy’s New Contract

Entering this offseason, the 49ers made it clear that Purdy is their quarterback for the future and a new deal would be completed before the season began.

Today, the 49ers held up their end of the bargain.

Per NFL Network’s Insiders, Purdy is g a five-year, $265 million deal. The contract has $181 million in total guarantees, with $165.05 million in the first three years of the deal.

Purdy’s extension runs through the 2030 season.

Purdy gets a significant pay raise from the $5.3 million he was scheduled to make in 2025.

Because the 49ers selected Purdy in the seventh round, they had one of the biggest advantages in sports: a quarterback on a rookie deal.

Purdy had been making a base salary of under $1 million each of the past three seasons.

“Mr. Irrelevant” became Mr. Relevant after he became the starting quarterback late in the 2022 season. The job has remained Purdy’s ever since.

Purdy has a 23-13 record in 36 starts and stats of 9,518 yards, 64 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions.

Purdy was named to the Pro Bowl in 2023 after throwing for 4,280 yards and 31 touchdowns.

The 49ers reached the NFC Championship in 2022 and the Super Bowl in 2023. Purdy’s season ended prematurely in 2024 due to injury.
