B.J. McLeod is up next for Spire Motorsports.

Scheduled to make his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series appearance since May 2021, McLeod will pilot the No. 07 Chevrolet during Friday night’s North Carolina Education Lottery 20 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The owner of Live Fast Motorsports, McLeod is slated to compete in his third race for Spire, following back-to-back appearances in June 2020. The Nos. 7 and 07 team lists a rotation of drivers this season. Kyle Busch will race in the No. 7 Friday.

Spire also fields two full-time teams, the No. 71 (Andres Perez de Lara) and No. 77 (Rajah Caruth). Ranked 13th in the drivers’ standings, Caruth paces the organization, but the two regulars have yet to earn a win this season.

In 359 national series starts, including 146 in the Cup Series and 41 in the Truck circuit, McLeod compiled just two top-10 finishes. Both came in Cup competition. Of 65,547 laps, he led just 20 combined laps. None have come driving a truck.

It seems like points leader Corey Heim is hardly ever not in the lead this season. With three wins and eight top-10 finishes in 10 outings, the No. 11 Toyota pilot continues to earn the top sports-betting odds to capture the 2025 series championship. BetOnline Sportsbook listed Heim with +120 odds, followed by Chandler Smith (+400) and Ty Majeski (+425).
